The Shining Star

From clusters of stars,

A star came into my life

Twinkling ceaselessly

And, I kept ignoring it.

But,

Whenever I look at my sky

It always appeared somehow

Away from those clusters

And started

Twinkling ceaselessly.

I didn’t know when I started

Looking at it and get used to seeing it.

Until, one day I couldn’t see my twinkling star

And realized

It was gone

And, I started missing it.

Later

I moved to another place

I looked at another sky.

I saw clusters of stars

But,

There was none who could twinkle

Like my twinkling star.

And, I kept missing it.

I prayed that I want to see a glimpse of flickering lights

That could satiate my relief.

Finally, one day

I saw my twinkling star,

I got a glimpse of those flickering lights

For few seconds

That made me ecstatic.

I cried, danced, laughed, and smiled

For the first time, I experienced the happiness

That brought tears to my eyes.

And then I realized

It wasn’t my twinkling star

But,

It was my shining star.

And, I love it.
